Classic Pasta Salad
This classic pasta salad bowl pairs perfectly well with main dishes. The home vinegar, red chili flakes, and olive oil dressing elevate the citrus and spicy flavours and make it a perfect salad for family gatherings.
Pasta salads, especially those with rotini pasta, hold a special place in my heart. My kids and husband always ask for them on weekends. Last weekend, I whipped up a classic pasta salad, and my homies loved it.
This classic pasta salad is a breeze; you don’t need any high-level culinary skills to craft it. The plus point is the nutritious value; this pasta salad has a high nutritional content that makes it super healthy.
Nonetheless, you can refine it further by adding and eliminating a few ingredients; it’s so versatile. When it comes to dressing, few folks like to use store-bought Italian dressing, and few prefer to use homemade vinaigrette dressing.
More About Classic Pasta Salad
- If you’re going to feed a huge family gathering, this Classic pasta salad is your best companion to earn compliments from guests.
- The rotini pasta with colorful veggies make the bowl more appealing and healthier– a favorite bowl of fitness folks.
- You can swap ingredients to refine the recipe further. It’s so much versatility.
- I know you wanna make your salad bowl healthier, and the best tip is to just use all organic ingredients. That’s why I prefer simple homemade dressing over any store-bought Italian or vinaigrette dressing.
Ingredients:
- Pasta: I love rotini pasta, but it’s not a hard and fast rule to always use rotini; you can also opt for Ditalini pasta, macrone, or penne pasta.
- Cheese: I’m using my special homemade buffalo milk cheese, an enriched protein and fat source. Don’t worry, mats; you can also use mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Vegetables: Roma/Cherry Tomatoes, white onion, and ball pepper are the only three vegetables I will use in this classic pasta salad.
- Olives: You can use black or green deseeded olives based on your preferences. I’m using green olives.
- Dressing: For this salad, I’m keeping the dressing simple. Olive oil, red chili flakes, red chili sauce, and White vinegar will make a simple and spicy homemade dressing.
Instructions:
- I’ve already boiled the pasta. Don’t forget to soak up the extra moisture from the pasta. Otherwise, it might dilute the taste of the dressing.
- Then, take a bowl and toss all the salad ingredients in it.
- Now prepare the dressing. Grab another small mixing bowl and add all the dressing ingredients to it. Mix it thoroughly and leave it for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the dressing over the salad and leave it at room temperature for 20 minutes. In this period, the spices will perfectly blend with the paste ingredient and infuse a more savory taste.

How To Serve?
When serving this salad, it seems like the sky is the limit. You can use it as an appetizer or a side dish. But I like to serve it with any of my substantial meals; it perfectly compliments spicy dishes like biryani, chicken Achari, BBQ ribs, or any overpowering recipe.
