Teriyaki Salmon and Broccoli Foil Packs

4 salmon fillets 5–6 oz each 2 cups broccoli florets 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce store-bought or homemade 1 tbsp sesame oil optional, for extra flavor 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp ground ginger or 1/2 tsp fresh grated Salt and pepper to taste 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish 2 tbsp chopped green onions for garnish 4 large sheets aluminum foil
Preheat Oven or Grill- Oven: 400°F (200°C)/Grill: Medium heat
In a bowl, toss broccoli with sesame oil (if using), garlic powder, and a small pinch of salt.
Place a salmon fillet in the center of each foil sheet.
Arrange broccoli around the salmon.
Drizzle 2–3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce over each fillet.
Sprinkle with ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
Fold the foil over the ingredients to form a packet. Crimp edges to seal tightly.
Bake for 15–18 minutes (or grill for 10–12 minutes), until salmon flakes easily with a fork and broccoli is tender.
Carefully open each foil pack (watch for steam!).
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice or noodles, or enjoy straight from the foil!
