  • 2 cups romaine lettuce or mixed greens chopped

  • 1/4 cup avocado sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Chicken and Bacon: Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper if cooking fresh. Grill or pan-sear until fully cooked, then let it cool slightly before slicing or shredding. Cook the bacon in a skillet or oven until crispy, then crumble it into small pieces.
  • Prepare the Vegetables: Wash and chop the romaine lettuce or mixed greens. Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the avocado if using.
  • Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together ranch or Caesar dressing, olive oil, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Assemble the Salad: In a large salad bowl, add the romaine lettuce as the base. Layer the sliced chicken, crispy bacon, cherry tomatoes, avocado slices, and shredded cheese on top.
  • Add the Dressing: Drizzle the dressing over the salad or serve it on the side for individual portions.
