  • 1 baguette sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 red bell peppers roasted and sliced into strips
  • 1 yellow bell pepper roasted and sliced into strips
  • 1/2 cup goat cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional, for extra sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Place whole bell peppers directly on a gas flame or under a broiler, turning occasionally until charred.
  • Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let them steam for 5 minutes.
  • Peel off the charred skin, remove the seeds, and slice into thin strips.
  • In a small bowl, mix goat cheese, honey (if using), salt, black pepper, and oregano until smooth.
  • Spread a generous layer of goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice.
  • Top with roasted bell pepper strips, layering red and yellow peppers for a colorful presentation.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  • Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and serve immediately.
