Chicken Chow Mein

This chicken chow mein is a Classic Chinese treat made with linguine pasta or noodles, vegetables, and chicken. The oyster and soy sauce dressing makes it a more savory and delicious meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 oz spaghetti pasta
  • 10 oz boneless chicken
  • 2 carrots (thinly sliced)
  • ½ Onion (thin sliced)
  • 1 bowl cabbage 
  • 2 capsicum
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • ½ bowl green onion  
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato ketchup 
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp chicken masala (optional)
  • tsp red chili flakes
  • Adjustable salt

Instructions
 

  • First, cook the paste in 3 glasses of water. Add a pinch of salt for taste. Spaghetti took around 5 minutes to cook.
  • Heat oil in a pan, sauté the garlic paste and add the chicken. Fry until the chicken pieces change color, then add the onions and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add vegetables (excluding green onions) and stir-fry for 2 minutes on medium heat.
  • Drizzle sauces and ketchup over the vegetables, then sprinkle with black pepper, red chili flakes, and chicken masala. Lightly fry the vegetable for 3 minutes.
  • Add corn flour to thicken the sauce and appear glossy. Omit if not using corn flour. Tip: Mix 1/2 tablespoon of corn flour with 2 tablespoons of water.
  • Add noodles, garnish with green onions, gently mix, and your Chicken Chow Mein is ready to serve.
