Ingredients

  • Pretzel rods – 15 to 20 rods
  • Orange candy melts – 1 ½ cups
  • Green candy melts – ½ cup
  • Vegetable oil optional – 1 to 2 teaspoons, for thinning candy melts
  • Parchment paper – for cooling and setting

Instructions

  • 1️⃣ Melt the Orange Candy Melts:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the orange candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Add 1–2 teaspoons of vegetable oil if needed to achieve a thinner consistency.
  • 2️⃣ Dip the Pretzel Rods:
  • Hold each pretzel rod and dip about two-thirds of it into the melted orange candy. Tap off the excess and place the coated rods onto a sheet of parchment paper to set.
  • 3️⃣ Melt the Green Candy Melts:
  • In a separate bowl, melt the green candy melts in the same manner as the orange ones. Transfer the melted green candy to a piping bag or use a spoon for drizzling.
  • 4️⃣ Add the Carrot Leaves:
  • Drizzle the green candy onto the top end of each pretzel rod to create the appearance of carrot leaves. Use small lines or swirls for decorative flair.
  • 5️⃣ Let Them Cool:
  • Allow the pretzels to sit at room temperature or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until the candy coating is completely set and hardened.
  • 6️⃣ Serve and Enjoy:
  • Arrange the carrot-shaped candy pretzels on a festive platter or package them in clear bags with ribbons for gifting.
